Cookie Policy

Last Updated: September 28, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Automation Atlas, operated by Pinnacle Peak Company LLC ("Pinnacle Peak", "we", "us", or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on automationatlas.com (the "Site"): which tools we use, when they load, and how to turn them off. Our Privacy Policy covers the rest of how we handle personal information.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar store that stays on your device. Analytics and advertising tools also use small scripts and network requests (sometimes called pixels or tags) to record what happens on a page. In this policy "cookies" covers all of these.

3. When Analytics and Advertising Tools Load

  • Outside Europe: the analytics and marketing tools in Section 4 load by default when you open a page, and no cookie banner is shown. You can turn them off at any time (Section 6).
  • Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, none of the analytics or marketing tools in Section 4 load, and no banner is shown. We treat GPC as your request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
  • European time zones: if your device is set to a European time zone, nothing in Section 4 loads until you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner, or turn a category on under "Customize". If you decline, it stays off.
  • Your saved choice: a choice made in the banner is stored in the cookie_consent cookie for one year and is applied on every visit. Global Privacy Control overrides it.
  • Private pages: blog review pages and email unsubscribe pages load none of these tools.

4. The Tools We Use

4.1 Essential

Needed for the Site to work and always on: the cookie_consent cookie that remembers your banner choice, and the cookies or local storage that keep sign-in and forms working when you use them.

4.2 Analytics

  • Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager (Google LLC). Records the pages you view, how you arrived (referring site and campaign parameters), device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and interactions such as clicks on the calls to action in a blog post. Google Tag Manager itself only loads the Google Analytics tag.
  • PostHog (PostHog Inc.). Product analytics: pages viewed, clicks and similar interactions, and, where enabled, recordings of how a page was used, with form inputs masked.
  • First-touch attribution (our own code). Stores the campaign parameters and ad click ids of the link that first brought you to the Site in local storage, so a later form submission is credited to the right campaign.

4.3 Marketing

  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.). Records page views and conversions, such as a submitted contact form, and sends them to Meta together with identifiers such as the _fbp and _fbc cookies. We use it to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to show ads to people who visited the Site.
  • Leadsy (Instantly). Visitor identification: uses your IP address and cookies to identify the business, and in some cases the person, visiting the Site, so we can follow up with sales outreach.

4.4 Events Our Servers Send

When you submit a form, book a call or complete a purchase, our servers also record that event with Google Analytics (without your name, email address or phone number) if your choices allow Analytics, and with Meta's Conversions API (with your email address and phone number hashed using SHA-256) if they allow Marketing. The servers follow the choices your browser had when you submitted the form or started checkout, so Global Privacy Control, a turned-off category, or not yet accepting the banner on a European time zone stops these events too. They keep our ad measurement accurate when a browser blocks the tags, not when you opt out. See Section 9 of our Privacy Policy.

Leadsy sets its own cookies from r2.leadsy.ai; their names and durations are set by Leadsy.

6. How to Opt Out

  • Cookie Preferences: the "Cookie Preferences" link at the bottom of every page opens the banner, where you can turn analytics and marketing off. Your choice is saved for one year.
  • Global Privacy Control: turn on GPC in your browser or a browser extension and none of the tools in Section 4 will load.
  • Do Not Sell or Share: use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
  • Browser settings: you can block or delete cookies in your browser (Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Third-party cookies; Firefox: Settings, Privacy & Security; Safari: Settings, Privacy; Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions).
  • Google Analytics: the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Meta: your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
  • Interest-based advertising generally: the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out.

Turning analytics and marketing off does not affect how the Site works. Blocking essential cookies can stop sign-in and forms from working.

7. Sharing Under US State Privacy Laws

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and similar laws in other US states, letting the Meta Pixel collect information on the Site for cross-context behavioral advertising counts as "sharing" your personal information. Leadsy's visitor identification may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under those laws. You can opt out of both with Global Privacy Control, by turning Marketing off under Cookie Preferences, or through our Do Not Sell or Share page.

8. Do Not Track

Browsers' "Do Not Track" setting has no agreed meaning, so we do not act on it. We do act on Global Privacy Control, as described above.

9. Changes to This Policy

When we change which tools we use or when they load, we update this policy and the "Last Updated" date at the top.
